Protive feed back
Pros:
- "Positive colleagues"
- "Great colleagues - the best you could hope for, good food (used to do free daily fruit but they stopped it), free company clothing (occasionally what you ordered), good days out (used to be holidays abroad, fair enough as this would be too costly now)"
- "Stable company making a lot of money,Great attention to employees,Nice place to work and good perks,Loads of great people"
The people although they seem to be doing their best to get rid of pretty much anybody who's been there for a couple of years or more. It's like some kind of bizarre cleansing programme. Oh pros... Right
Xmas parties. Brilliantly done.
Pay wasn't bad- "
*** Alot of the reviews repeat them selfs with how the other workers are friendly***

Negitive feedback
Cons:
-"Unpaid overtime is expected, this is apparently industry standard but not exactly nice.Recently (last few weeks) shifted to mandatory overtime for several teams. This makes the unpaid aspect to the overtime downright unpleasant.
Limited promotion prospects; management and exec roles are mostly external hires.
History of unsuccessful attempts to branch out from the core game, each repeating some trends that could have been addressed, e.g. shifting direction frequently on key mechanics and ignoring early warning signs, such as testers and developers on the project admitting "This game isn't fun" and multiple changes in creative leads for the same product.
Communication between teams is often lacking, resulting in unnecessary, premature or wasted work.
Middle Management get panicky near milestones, resulting in sudden micromanagement and slightly raised tempers, but often appear disinterested (late for meetings discussing the project, slow to respond to questions) in the intervening periods.
No granularity on importance of decisions, every request is "critical" and "top priority" which has to be done "ASAP". Decisions may be later overruled subject to another manager or executive's whim."
-"Senior management runs around like chickens with their heads cut off.
They do not care what the customer cares about anymore.
It's all about maximizing profit instead of trying to make people happy."
-"Where do I start?
Incompetent senior management. Maybe I should highlight and underline that? In fact I can't think of one senior manager who could actually manage people with any skill.
Communication. Awful.
Attitude to customers. Unbelievably bad. I give you FunOrb, War of Legends, RuneScape etc etc
Broken promises. Consistent and regular
Regularly choosing the exact and polar opposites of what normal, sane, intelligent people would do.
Making knee jerk decisions. Constantly.
Bringing in industry experienced professionals who would last approximately 6 months before they understood what a mad house Jagex is, and leaving the good guys to clear up the mess.
Setting ridiculous targets. I mean ridiculous.
Wanting everything done tomorrow. No planning. Putting unbelievable pressure to deliver on pointless projects.
The current drive to rid the company of people who've been there since the start but who might not have a tick in a particular box. For redundancies read compromise agreements."
- "Shift patterns can lead to bad routine for a work-life balance. Cambridge itself is a dull city; and when there is free time there is not much to do within the city. Management make decisions without consultation of employees; and at times manipulate data to support their decisions. Essentially seems like a glorified call centre."
*** These are just a few, many more similar to these at the link posted above***
**** "Management make decisions without consultation of employees; and at times manipulate data to support their decisions"- Think we can agree with that on RWT trading and the EOC survay results. ****

Advice to senior management
Advice to senior management:
- "Jagex player support is ran completely differently to the development and business side. This needs to be looked into as it seems like a call centre. 140 office is very much the place to be for workiing within Jagex."
- "Grow some balls with your company, value the ones whom commit rather than sacking them because of your service levels. I wouldn't be surprised if you went under in the next few years, disgusting."
- "At this point it would take a miracle to restore the trust of a very large segment of your workforce. There is a fundamental lack of trust, to the point at which it cannot begin to heal without a radical, and painful, change in the SM and Executive teams.
Which is a shame, as your developers still strive to make the company a success - despite the constant downward pull coming from SM and Executive teams.
Seeing talented work colleagues, who have contributed vastly and practically to the company be removed while the dead weight above remains is painful.
More so when other very talented and vital members of staff resign and no amount of money, or other inducement will convince them to stay should ring alarm bells."
- "Stop the micro-transactions before you kill the game. Listen to your customers!"
- "It's too late for that. How the current team is still in charge is a miracle"

Re: Very interseting reviews
Tbh listening tot he players wouldn't make a difference there's the same amount of people playing now as there was before eoc, just proves that people won't quit even when they say they will, only time the numbers of players ever drop is when they bot nuke.
